004 : Utopian

Sorry for a late post guys.

Rod has suggested me to look at Utopia (thanks again Rod!). They present “digital typeface that portrays the mixture between the modernist architecture of Oscar Niemeyer and informal occupation of the urban space that shapes major Brazilian cities.” Utopia was designed by Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain.

I think it’s very interesting how they represent landscape and man-made objects together to produce a typeface. It shows the relationship between human and environment, as how the designers interact with types and environment.
